The Number
8 mine, in Eureka county Nevada, has not produced turquoise
for a number of years. Number 8 is by far some of the
finest turquoise I have ever seen and is some of the
finest turquoise to ever come out of Nevada. Almost
all of the turquoise produced was spider webbed. The
color varies from light blue with shades of green to
dark blue. The matrix can be golden brown, red brown
to black. Number 8 is a very sought after and valuable
turquoise. |
